R&A and USGA Conforming Drivers

Lind Golf has received notice from the R&A (Royal and Ancient) of Scotland that all submitted drivers conform to the R&A and by default, the USGA (United States Golf Association) rules of golf and are valid for competition use. This is a fantastic milestone for Lind Golf reinforcing the quality of our equipment and credibility of our brand.

The following drivers conform to the USGA and R&A rules of golf:
Lind Blachkawk 460 Driver
Lind Apache Mk2 460 Driver
Lind Longbow 460 Driver

The MOJO 460 driver is currently in submission and a decision is pending. The MOJO 460 has passed all of our independent tests which are the same as the tests conducted by the R&A.

History of the ruling
Recently the USGA and R&A changed the rules of golf and imposed restrictions on the "trampoline effect" of golf drivers. Thin faced drivers have a high trampoline effect making it easier to hit further with less effort. Limits on the trampoline effect of drivers have been in place from January 1st 2008 under Appendix II, 4c of the 2008 edition of the Rules of Golf stating that:

"The design, material and/or construction of, or any treatment to, the club head (which includes the face) must not have the effect of a spring which exceeds the limit set forth in the Pendulum Test Protocol on file with the R&A"

"This is a new Rule which applies to all golfers of all abilities and in all forms of play."
